A legacy of excellence in railway training since 1965
Our Foundation
The Zonal Railway Training Institute, Bhuli, was founded in July 1965 by amalgamating The Traffic Training School, Sealdah and the Technical Training School Madhupur.
Training Programs
The Institute is imparting training to Group 'C' Staff of Transportation, Commercial, Personnel, Accounts, Store, Civil Engineering and Transportation portion of all the streams of JE/SSE of Electrical, Mechanical etc.
Course Types
The courses of training are Induction, Promotion and Refresher. The Institute is conducting Safety Camps for Loco Pilots, Guards and Station Masters Category after the successful completion of their Refresher course.
Training Jurisdiction
The Training Jurisdiction of the institute extends over Eastern Railways and East Central Railways. Many a time the institute has also conducted induction courses of ALPs of East Coast Railway and South East Central Railway on their request.
Specialized Training
In addition to Induction, Promotion, Refresher and safety Camps, the institute is also conducting Fire Fighting, Disaster management and First Aid courses.
Customer Care
The course of Customer Care has been introduced in ZRTI, Bhuli in collaboration with C&K Management Ltd., Secunderabad for fulfilling the objective of Indian Railways's "service with smile". This course is conducted to serve ER, SER, ECoR, NFR and Metro Railway, Kolkata.
Examinations
On completion of every individual course, The Examination cell of the institute conducts exam as per the monthly examination programme.
Quality Assurance
For the purpose of maintaining high quality of training and human resource development, the institute periodically organises open Safety Seminars, Safety Quiz etc.
Mess Facilities
For providing Healthy and Nutritious food to the trainees, Messes are run under the Trainee's Mess Club which is consisting of faculty members and trainees of Initial and Promotion courses.
Extra-curricular Activities
Apart from that, The Institute organises extra-curricular activities like Cultural Programme, Safety Seminars, Sports, Yoga by Trainees Recreation club.
Valediction Programme
As almost all the Group'C' staff are inducted in the Railway family after their successful training at ZRTI. So, before superannuation when they attend their last refresher course at ZRTI, A valediction programme is conducted in the auditorium and the trainees are invited to the Dias to share their experiences regarding averting of accident due to their alertness and knowledge of safety rules which they gained at ZRTI.
Leadership
The institute headed by the Principal of JAG scale IRTS, assisted by Vice-Principal of Sr. Scale Engineering, AOM(L), AEN(L), faculty members from Operating, Commercial and Engineering and ministerial staff.
